Austina: A Fresh Script Font for Modern Campaigns
Austina in a Product Launch Graphic
As I prepared the final layout for a seasonal product launch, I reached for Austina — a fresh handlettered font that brings a natural, handwritten feel to any design. The moment I applied it to the headline, “New Arrivals Just Dropped,” I knew this was the right choice. With 530 unique glyphs, Austina offers enough variation to create dynamic visual interest without overwhelming the viewer.
For digital campaigns, readability is key. On mobile screens, the soft curves and balanced spacing of Austina made the message clear even at smaller sizes. It worked perfectly as a display font for the hero section of the landing page and as a callout on social media posts.
Austina for Instagram Content Series
When building an Instagram content series for a wellness brand, I wanted a font that felt personal yet professional. Austina fit the bill. Its script handwritten style gave the captions a warm, approachable tone that resonated with the target audience.
I used Austina for post titles like “Morning Motivation” and “Self-Care Sunday.” Each caption featured a short quote overlaid on a lifestyle image, and the font’s clean lines and elegant curves helped maintain a consistent visual identity across the feed. It also paired well with a modern sans serif font for body text, ensuring a strong contrast and improved readability.
The font’s versatility allowed me to use it in different ways — from bold, decorative headlines to subtle, understated labels. This flexibility made it easy to maintain brand consistency while keeping each post visually engaging.
Austina in YouTube Thumbnail Design
Designing thumbnails for a YouTube channel always requires a balance between catchiness and clarity. For a video titled “5 Tips to Boost Your Creativity,” I chose Austina to add a personal touch. The font’s handwritten nature gave the thumbnail a friendly, conversational vibe that matched the video’s tone.
On small previews, the legibility of Austina stood out. Even when compressed into a thumbnail, the letterforms remained crisp and readable. I experimented with different weights and alternates to create variations that kept the thumbnails fresh across multiple videos in the series.
The font also worked well with dark backgrounds, which are common in thumbnail design. The contrast between the soft script and the background ensured that the text didn’t get lost, even in fast-scrolling feeds.
Austina for Email Promotion Headers
Email marketing often relies on quick, impactful messaging. When designing a promotional email for a limited-time sale, I used Austina for the subject line and header. The font’s personality added a sense of urgency and excitement, making the message more compelling.
I tested the font across different email clients and found that its clean design rendered consistently on both desktop and mobile. The 530 unique glyphs included ligatures and alternates that allowed for creative variations in headers and subheadings, helping to break up the text and guide the reader’s eye through the content.
For body text, I paired Austina with a clean sans serif font to ensure readability. This combination maintained a professional look while still feeling approachable and human.
Austina in Webinar Banners
Creating a webinar banner for a digital course required a font that would stand out but not distract. Austina was the perfect fit. Its handlettered style gave the banner a personal touch, making the event feel more like a conversation than a lecture.
The font’s character set supported multilingual content, which was important for reaching a global audience. I used it for the main title, “Mastering Brand Identity in 7 Days,” and paired it with a minimalist sans serif font for supporting text. The result was a banner that felt both inviting and trustworthy.
Including Austina in the branding assets for the webinar also helped reinforce campaign consistency. From the banner to the registration form, the font provided a cohesive visual thread that strengthened brand recognition.
Austina for Pinterest Campaigns
Pinterest is all about visual storytelling, and Austina’s fresh handlettered style fits perfectly within that space. I used it for pin titles like “Creative Inspiration” and “Design Ideas for Your Space.” The font’s elegance and warmth aligned well with the platform’s aesthetic, making the pins more engaging and shareable.
The font’s extensive glyph set allowed for creative expressions, such as using alternate characters to spell out phrases like “Make It Yours.” This attention to detail helped the pins stand out in a crowded feed and encouraged users to click and explore further.
With its ability to adapt to various formats and styles, Austina proved to be a valuable asset in creating a Pinterest campaign that was both visually appealing and strategically effective.
